Earnings : Alaska Air Group reported earnings (on an adjusted basis) of $1.46 per share in the fourth quarter of 2015 beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.43. Earnings increased 55% compared to the fourth quarter of 2014.

Revenue : Revenues came in at $1.38 billion, in line with the Zacks Consensus Estimate. The top line grew 5% on a year-over-year basis.

Key points : The company repurchased 7.2 million shares for $505 million in 2015. The carrier shelled out a quarterly cash dividend worth $0.20 per-share in the fourth quarter. The carrier paid dividends worth $102 million in 2015. The company hiked its quarterly dividend by 38% to $0.275 per share in Jan 2016.
