Air Products & Chemicals Inc.APD will showcase its range of industrial gases and advanced gas technologies along with supply options at NPE 2015 in Orlando, FL, from Mar 23-27. These will help plastic manufacturers improve process efficiency, minimize costs and ensure better product quality and safety.

Air Products will display its broad portfolio of products, including industrial gases like nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide and argon at booth S20174. Attendees can learn about these products as well as avail reliable, safe and affordable delivery options, matching customer requirements.

Air Products relies on conventional bulk liquid and gas supply along with its PRISM on-site gas generation systems for supplying products to its large-volume customers. Small-volume customers, on the other hand, can avail Air Products' microbulk solution which eradicates the difficulty of cylinder handling and change-out.

Air Products' team of technical experts will be present to explain to plastic manufacturers how they can improve the efficiency and safety of various processes like cryogenic grinding; process cooling; inerting/blanketing for combustible dust, flammable liquid processing, and pneumatic conveying; and gas assist molding.

Air Products provides a wide range of consultative services and turn-key offerings which can help plastic manufacturers using the cryogenic grinding process with the design and installation of a complete cryogrinding system. Moreover, the company has its own testing lab in Allentown where it can test products to help plastic manufacturers to determine the viability of using cryogenics in their processes. This would also be beneficial in calculating the cost versus the benefits of using cryogenics and enhance cryogrinding operations.

Additionally, Air Products provides computational modeling, safety training, and engineering and consulting services to plastic manufacturers during project design, start-up, and ongoing operations. Plastic manufacturers can increase their process efficiency with Computational Fluid Dynamics ("CFD"). They can also use other programs which can help them with new designs, product development, scale-up and troubleshooting. CFD is extremely useful while designing inerting systems for combustible dust protection.
