(RTTNews.com) - A woman who became enraged, after her flight was diverted to Minnesota for a medical emergency, was taken off the plane after the emergency landing.

Spirit Airlines flight 346 was flying from Houston to Minneapolis on Monday when it had to make an emergency landing in Rochester, Minnesota for a male passenger in need of medical attention.

Cellphone video taken by another passenger on the plane shows the woman running up and down the aisle after the emergency landing, threatening other passengers and shouting profanities. She is also seen yelling at two men who confronted her, possibly to calm her down.

The unruly passenger appeared to have a mental breakdown and demanded to be allowed off the flight. She continued to yell and scream while she was later escorted off the plane by the police.

The incident left the passengers on the plane visibly shaken.

According to police, the woman said that she has not flown since she was in the military and got scared after the flight was diverted. She also reportedly told another passenger that she suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD.

The police added that the woman was neither arrested or taken for medical treatment after being removed from the flight.

Spirit Airlines apologized to its customers for the incident.

A spokesperson for Spirit Airlines said, "We apologize to our guests who had to witness this and for the inconvenience of the delay."
