Almost two years after launching #TradeTalks, the video series which focuses on trading news, trends, and education, has relaunched and now has a dedicated social media channel for all of its content.

TradeTalks host Jill Malandrino, Nasdaq's global market s reporter, said the show now has its own channel on Twitter and will be doing more work on LinkedIn as well. The account will include insight from the Nasdaq Markets Intelligence Desk (MID) and Nasdaq's IR Advisory analysts within the IR Intelligence business, the latter of which will be called #SectorTalks.

"Anytime the U.S. markets are open, we are going to have a robust offering of capital markets content as well as thought leadership content from our partners, including our partners and clients and, of course, Nasdaq's internal talent," Malandrino said. "So, I'm really excited to see this project go from an iPhone rig to full production at Nasdaq MarketSite .

TradeTalks began in March 2017, supporting Nasdaq's Global Trade and Market Services (GTMS) business, more specifically the options team. Malandrino noted that her position started as an eight-hour contract and has grown into a full-time job. Previously, Malandrino was a marke t report er for Voice of America, which followed her time as Product Development Manager for OptionsProfits at TheStreet. She has also held positions in institutional trading and compliance during her 20-year career on Wall Street.

"Our original goal was to use TradeTalks as an outlet to promote options education and our products through the options team," Malandrino said.

Now, as the largest social program at Nasdaq, TradeTalks supports all of the company's business units, including GTMS, Global Information Services (GIS), Market Technology, and Corporate Services.

"Anything that Nasdaq touches, we are here to support," Malandrino said.
