- Facebook ( FB ) shares were up marginally after it said the WhatsApp will stop working on handsets running Microsoft's ( MSFT ) Windows Phone 8.0 and older, and BlackBerry ( BB ) 10 on Jan. 1.

- NII Holdings ( NIHD ) rose more than 10% after a regulatory filing late Tuesday showed that Joseph Samberg, former CEO of hedge fund JDS Capital Management, has secured a 9.5% stake in the company with 9.5 million shares,

- Immersion ( IMMR ) said its board of directors has adopted a limited duration stockholder rights plan, which will expire on Dec. 26, 2018.
