Technology stocks still were losing ground late in Wednesday trading, with shares of tech companies in the S&P 500 dropping almost 0.3%.

In company news, Frequency Electronics ( FEIM ) has turned narrow lower again shortly before Wednesday's closing bell, giving back a more than 7% advance earlier today that followed the company naming Stanton Sloane as its new chief operating officer.

According to the company, Sloane previously was the chief executive at SRA International and at omtech Telecomm Corp ( CMTL ) and began his career at General Electric ( GE ) Aerospace, now part of Lockheed Martin ( LMT ).

In other sector news,

(+) ZAGG, Late Tuesday releases a universal wireless charging pad for Apple's ( AAPL ) iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.

(-) IMPV, Elliott Capital Advisors sells 109,534 shares between Sept. 8-11, reducing its stake to around 9.5% of the company's stock. Also discloses short position, holding a total of call options with a $45 strike price and expiring either Sept. 15 or Oct. 20.
