SMH, PZI: Big ETF Outflows

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the Semiconductor ETF ( SMH ), where 6,650,063 units were destroyed, or a 38.8% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SMH, in morning trading today Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing ( TSM ) is up about 0.3%, and Intel Corporation ( INTC ) is relatively unchanged.

And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the PowerShares Zacks Micro Cap Portfolio ( PZI ), which lost 400,000 of its units, representing a 25.8% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of PZI, in morning trading today Ocwen Financial Corporation ( OCN ) is up about 0.1%, and Trico Bancshares (TCBK) is higher by about 0.4%.
