Sartorius AG H1 Profit Rises; Lifts FY18 Sales Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews.com) - Sartorius AG (SDMHF.PK), a German laboratory and pharmaceutical equipment provider, reported that its first-half underlying net profit increased 14.1 percent to 79.8 million euros from last year's 69.9 million euros. Earnings per share grew to 1.16 euros from 1.02 euros last year.

Sales revenue for the period increased 8 percent to 758.4 million euros from 702.5 million euros last year. Sales revenues increased 11.9 at constant currencies.

Acquisitions contributed around 2 percentage points to this positive business performance.

The previous year's figures have been restated due to the finalization of the purchase price allocations for the acquisitions of 2017.

Order intake was 807.6 million euros, up 8.9 percent from 741.9 million euros last year.

Looking ahead, the company's management raised its sales forecast for the Bioprocess Solutions Division and thus for the entire Group.

Consolidated sales revenue for the group is projected to grow by about 12 percent to 15 percent, compared to the prior range of 9 percent to 12 percent.

The Group's full-year underlying EBITDA margin is still expected to increase by 0.5 percentage points compared with the year-earlier figure of 25.1 percent.
