Philip Morris International Reports Gain In Q3 Earnings

(RTTNews.com) - Philip Morris International ( PM ) reported earnings for its third quarter that increased from last year.

The company's earnings came in at $2.25 billion, or $1.44 per share. This compares with $1.97 billion, or $1.27 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.27	 per share, according to 

figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 0.4% to $7.50 billion from $7.47 billion last year.
