Moog Fiscal Q2 Results Top Views; Raises Full-Year Revenue Forecast

Moog ( MOG.A ) reported pre-market Friday fiscal Q2 earnings of $0.88 per diluted share compared with an income of $0.85 per share a year ago, beating the $0.86 average EPS estimate from analysts polled by Capital IQ.

For Q2 ended April 1, net sales rose to $632.4 million from $611.1 million a year ago, coming in above the $610.6 million consensus.

In a statement released early Friday, the company said it expected the fiscal year revenue to come in at $2.45 billion, up 2% from a year ago and $30 million higher than the previous quarter's forecast. Analysts are expecting revenues of $2.43 billion.

Adjusted EPS is anticipated to remain at $3.50, plus or minus $0.15. Analysts are forecasting EPS of $3.63 per share.

"Our premier military and commercial aircraft programs continue their production ramps and we've seen sales gains in several of the defense programs in our portfolio," CEO John Scannell said.
