Monday Sector Laggards: Consumer Products, Healthcare

The worst performing sector as of midday Monday is the Consumer Products sector, showing a 0.9% loss. Within that group, Kimberly-Clark Corp. (Symbol: KMB) and Hershey Company (Symbol: HSY) are two of the day's laggards, showing a loss of 2.8% and 2.7%, respectively. Among consumer products ETFs , one ETF following the sector is the iShares U.S. Consumer Goods ETF (Symbol: IYK), which is down 1.2% on the day, and down 5.38% year-to-date. Kimberly-Clark Corp., meanwhile, is down 15.05% year-to-date, and Hershey Company , is down 18.24% year-to-date. Combined, KMB and HSY make up approximately 2.2% of the underlying holdings of IYK.

The next worst performing sector is the Healthcare sector, showing a 0.9% loss. Among large Healthcare stocks, Biogen Inc (Symbol: BIIB) and AmerisourceBergen Corp. (Symbol: ABC) are the most notable, showing a loss of 5.6% and 3.6%, respectively. One ETF closely tracking Healthcare stocks is the Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF ( XLV ), which is down 1.1% in midday trading, and up 3.02% on a year-to-date basis. Biogen Inc, meanwhile, is down 9.60% year-to-date, and AmerisourceBergen Corp. is up 0.41% year-to-date. Combined, BIIB and ABC make up approximately 2.3% of the underlying holdings of XLV.
