Hospitality Properties Trust Q2 adjusted earnings Beat Estimates

(RTTNews.com) - Hospitality Properties Trust ( HPT ) released a profit for its second quarter that advanced from the same period last year.

The company's bottom line came in at $97.29 million, or $0.59 per share. This compares with $60.70 million, or $0.37 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Excluding items, Hospitality Properties Trust reported adjusted earnings of $176.19 million or $1.07 per share for the period.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.25	 per share, according to 

figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 7.2% to $611.95 million from $570.60 million last year.
