Health care stocks were split between winners and loser today, including a slightly less than 0.2% gain for the NYSE Health Care Index. Also, shares of health care companies in the S&P 500 were down over 0.2% as a group while the Nasdaq Biotechnology index ( NBI ) was climbing over 0.2% today.

Among health care stocks moving on news today:

Moleculin Biotech ( MBRX ) rose Thursdqay, holding on to a portion of their 7% advance earlier today that followed Polish authorities approving Phase I/II testing of the company's Annamycin drug candidate in patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia. It expects the first patient to be enrolled in the trial during the first three months of 2018.

+ AEterna Zentaris ( AEZS ) soared Thursday after federal regulators approved the company's new drug application for its Macrilen ghrelin agonist to assist with the diagnosis of patients with growth hormone deficiency.
