Friday's ETF with Unusual Volume: MDYG

The SPDR S&P 400 Mid Cap Growth ETF ( MDYG ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Friday, with over 87,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 29,000. Shares of MDYG were down about 0.2% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Friday were Southwestern Energy ( SWN ), trading off about 2.1% with over 8.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and United States Steel ( X ), up about 0.4% on volume of over 5.1 million shares. Fulton Financial ( FULT ) is the component faring the best Friday, higher by about 4.2% on the day, while Arris International ( ARRS ) is lagging other components of the SPDR S&P 400 Mid Cap Growth ETF, trading lower by about 3.2%.
