European ADRs Move Lower in Friday Trading

American Depositary Receipts of European stocks were trading 0.60% lower at 133.42 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Friday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical firm Oasmia Pharmaceutical ( OASM ), and health care company Novo Nordisk ( NVO ), which rose 3.1% and 1.8% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company argenx ( ARGX ), and genome engineering firm Cellectis ( CLLS ), which were up 1.4% and 1.0%.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company Forward Pharma ( FWP ), and semiconductor company STMicroelectronics (STM), which fell 5.6% and 4.5% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies (DBVT), and online dating operator Spark Networks (LOV) which were off 4.4% and 2.1%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), and biopharmaceutical company Motif Bio (MTFB), which rose 5.6% and 8.3% respectively. Also climbing were biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP), and telecommunications provider BT Group (BT), which were up 1.9% and 1.1%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Amarin (AMRN), which fell 3.6%, followed by mining companies Rio Tinto (RIO) and BHP Billiton (BBL), which lost 2.6% and 1.8% respectively. Pharmaceutical company Avadel Pharmaceuticals (AVDL) was off 1.5%.
