European ADRs Move Higher in Tuesday Trading

American Depositary Receipts of European stocks were trading 0.15% higher at 134.19 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Tuesday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by health care company Novo Nordisk ( NVO ), and communications services firm VEON ( VEON ), which rose 2.6% and 2.3% respectively. They were followed by online dating site operator Spark Networks ( LOV ), and computer hardware maker Logitech ( LOGI ), which were up 2.1% and 1.7%.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by biotech firm MorphoSys ( MOR ), and biopharmaceutical company Forward Pharma (FWP), which fell 4.2% and 2.1% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Ascendis Pharma (ASND), and internet browser company Opera (OPRA), which were off 2.7% and 2%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies Motif Bio (MTFB), NuCana (NCNA), and Amarin (AMRN), which rose 9.8%, 1.9%, and 1.7% respectively. Mining company BHP Billiton (BBL) was up 1.6%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by mining company Randgold Resources (GOLD), and insurance firm Prudential (PUK), which lost 1.5% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Vodafone Group (VOD), and biopharmaceutical company Midatech Pharma (MTP), which dropped 1.3% and 1.1%.
