European ADRs Move Higher in Tuesday Trading

American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 0.10% higher at 129.21 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Tuesday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and ERYTECH Pharma ( ERYP ), which rose 8.5% and 5.2% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical firm Sanofi ( SNY ) and kidney dialysis company Fresenius Medical Care ( FMS ), which were up 1.3% and 1.2%.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by financial services firm ING Groep ( ING ) and biotech company Zealand Pharma (ZEAL), which fell 4% and 3.2% respectively. Also slumping was financial services provider Credit Suisse (CS), which was off 2%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by specialty pharmaceutical company Midatech Pharma (MTP), which surged 17.3%, followed by Trinity Biotech (TRIB), telecommunications operator Vodafone Group (VOD), and biopharmaceutical firm Amarin (AMRN), which were up 4.4%, 2.9%, and 2.8% respectively.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Motif Bio (MTFB) and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), which fell 3.4% and 2.6% respectively. They were followed by educational publisher Pearson (PSO) and biopharmaceutical company Verona Pharma (VRNA), which dropped 1.7% and 0.7%.
