European ADRs Move Higher in Monday Trading

American Depositary Receipts of European stocks were trading 0.78% higher at 127.04 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Monday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical firm argenx ( ARGX ), which surged 12.7, followed by semiconductor company STMicroelectronics ( STM ), computer hardware maker Logitech ( LOGI ), and marketing firm Criteo ( CRTO ), which rose 5.1%, 4.6%, and 3.2% respectively.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by biotech company Zealand Pharma ( ZEAL ), and hotel booking site Trivago (TRVG), which fell 8.1% and 6.7% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Oasmia Pharmaceutical (OASM), and 3D printer manufacturer voxeljet (VJET), which were off 6% and 1%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by mining company BHP Billiton (BBL), and biopharmaceutical firm Verona Pharma (VRNA), which were up 5.3% and 5.2% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP), and mining company Rio Tinto (RIO), which rose 3.9% and 2.7%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by Midatech Pharma (MTP), and pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), which shed 10.7% and 8% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator BT Group (BT), which lost 2.4%.
