European ADRs Move Higher in Friday Trading

American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 0.62% higher at 128.99 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Friday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by hotel booking site Trivago ( TRVG ), and genome engineering firm Cellectis ( CLLS ), which climbed 7.1% and 3.6% respectively. They were followed by biotech firm Zealand Pharma ( ZEAL ), and pharmaceutical company Oasmia Pharmaceutical ( OASM ), which were up 3.5% and 3.4%.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by telecommunications operator Telecom Italia ( TI ), and pharmaceutical firm Sanofi (SNY), which dropped 1.9% and 1.6% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Orange (ORAN), and communications services provider VEON (VEON), which were down 1.5% and 1.1%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by IT company Endava (DAVA), and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which surged 13.2% and 7.4% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Amarin (AMRN), and gene therapy company Nightstar (NITE), which rose 5% and 4.5%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by mining company Randgold Resources (GOLD), followed by tobacco and consumer goods company British American Tobacco (BTI), and pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca (AZN), which were off 2.1% and 0.5%.
