European ADRs Edge Lower in Wednesday Trading

American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 0.03% lower at 129.62 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Wednesday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company ERYTECH Pharma ( ERYP ) which rose 7.8%. It was followed by Logitech ( LOGI ) and bank Banco Santander ( SAN ), which were up 2.2% and 1.4%.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and 3D printer company Materialise ( MTLS ), which fell 9.6% and 9% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Ascendis Pharma (ASND) and financial services firm ING Groep (ING), which were off 5.4% and 3.6%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by tobacco and consumer goods company British American Tobacco (BTI) and mining company BHP Billiton (BBL), which rose 3.2% and 1.2%. They were followed by analytics and information provider RELX PLC (RELX) and biopharmaceutical firm NuCana (NCNA), which were up 1.1% and 0.9%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by specialty pharmaceuticals firm Midatech Pharma (MTP) and biopharmaceutical company GW Pharmaceuticals (GWPH), which rose 4.9% and 3.2% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Adaptimmune Therapeutics (ADAP) and pharmaceutical firm Avadel (AVDL), which were off 3.2% and 3.1%.
