Energy stocks were mixed in Thursday's pre-market trading . West Texas Intermediate crude oil for March delivery was down by $0.26 to $53.64 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. The global benchmark Brent crude April contract gained $0.27 to $63.88 per barrel and March natural gas futures were 2 cents higher at $2.59 per 1 million BTU.

Stocks moving on news include:

(+) Precision Drilling ( PDS ), which was more than 3% higher after i t report ed Q4 adjusted earnings of CAD0.00 per share, topping the estimate of analysts polled by Capital IQ for a loss of CAD0.06 per share.

(-) Energy and industrial products distributor Now ( DNOW ) was declining by more than 8% as its Q4 adjusted EPS rose to $0.11 from $0.01 a year ago, beating the $0.06 average estimate from analysts polled by Capital IQ.
