Eagle Materials (EXP) Q4 Earnings and Revenues Surpass Estimates

Eagle Materials (EXP) came out with quarterly earnings of $0.87 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.85 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.76 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 2.35%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this maker of gypsum wallboard and cement would pos t earnings of $1.30 per share when it actually produced earnings of $1.24, delivering a surprise of -4.62%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates just once.

Eagle Materials, which belongs to the Zacks Building Products - Concrete and Aggregates industry, posted revenues of $284.70 million for the quarter ended March 2019, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 0.39%.
