Consumer stocks were mixed pre-market Monday.

Moving stocks include:

(+) Canada Goose Holdings ( GOOS ), which was over 8% higher after reports that the company opened its Chinese flagship store in Beijing on Friday amid tense diplomatic relations between Canada and China over the arrest of a prominent telecommunications executive.

In other sector news:

(+) Amazon ( AMZN ) was up nearly 2% after The Wall Street Journal reported that the company is moving to add more Whole Foods stores in western North America, which marks its entrance into the region.

(+) Alibaba Group Holding ( BABA ) was gaining more than 1% after it disclosed in a regulatory filing that it has agreed to settle a consolidated class action lawsuit filed against the company, certain of its directors and former executives, and the underwriters of its initial public offering alleging that the company violated the US Securities Act of 1933.
