Consumer stocks were inching up pre-bell Wednesday.

Early movers include:

(+) GNC Holdings ( GNC ), which was up by more than 18% after it reached an agreement with Harbin Pharmaceutical Group, or Hayao, for the funding of its $300 million investment in the company and said that it has entered into a definitive agreement on joint ventures in Hong Kong and China.

(-) Michael Kors Holdings ( KORS ) was down over 11% after the company reported mixed fiscal Q2 results and raised its full-year adjusted EPS outlook.

(-) Medifast ( MED ) was tumbling by more than 18% as it booked Q3 net income improved year over year to $13.8 million, or $1.14 per diluted share, from $6.7 million, or $0.55 per diluted share, meeting consensus estimates of $1.14 per share.
