Consumer Sector Update for 03/28/2019: RMBL,PVH,LULU,YOGA

Consumer stocks were extending their moderately gains, with shares of consumer staples companies in the S&P 500 climbing more than 0.4% this afternoon while shares of consumer discretionary firms in the S&P 500 also were ahead over 0.6% in late trade.

Among consumer stocks moving on news:

(-) RumbleOn ( RMBL ) fell 10% after the e-commerce company reported an FY18 net loss of $1.70 per share, nearly doubling an $0.86 per share net loss during the prior-year period and missing the Capital IQ consensus expecting $1.44 per share.

In other sector news:

(+) lululemon athletica ( LULU ) climbed nearly 16% after the yoga wear company reported non-GAAP Q4 net income of $1.85 per share, up from $1.33 per share during the same quarter last year and beating the $1.75 per share Street view. Revenue grew 26% over the year-ago period to $1.20 billion, also exceeding the $1.15 billion consensus.

(+) PVH ( PVH ) raced 15% higher on Thursday after the apparel company reported an increase in non-GAAP Q4 net income to $1.84 per share from $1.58 per share during the year-ago period and beating the Capital IQ consensus for the three months ended Feb. 3 by $0.08 per share. Revenue fell 0.4% year over year to $2.48 billion but still topped the of $2.41 million analyst mean.

(-) YogaWorks ( YOGA ) dropped over 13% after the yoga studio chain issued a "going concern" warning, saying its history of continued losses has raised substantial doubt about its ability to continue operating and could limit its ability to raise additional funds.
