Among consumer stocks moving on news:

(-) Amazon ( AMZN ) shares dropped to their lowest price in five weeks, at one point falling almost 3%, after CEO Jeff Bezos went public with his fight with the publisher of the National Enquirer, accusing the gossip weekly of "extortion and blackmail" by threatening to publish embarrassing photos of Bezos and his new girlfriend unless he calls off an investigation into how the tabloid recently obtained his text messages.

In other sector news:

(+) Coty ( COTY ) climbed 31% on Friday after the beauty products company reported adjusted fiscal Q2 EPS of $0.24 per share, down from a year earlier, but above the Capital IQ consensus expecting $0.22 per share.

(+) Columbia Sportswear Company ( COLM ) soared 19% to a best-ever $109.74 a share after Friday reporting Q4 net income and revenue breezing past Wall Street estimates. It also forecast better-than-expected FY19 results and added another $200 million to its stock buyback program.

(-) Hasbro ( HAS ) dipped 1% after the toy-maker Friday said it earned $1.33 per share, excluding one-time items, for the three months ended Dec. 30, down from $2.30 per share during the year-ago period and trailing the Wall Street consensus by $0.35 per share. Total revenue fell 13.1% to $1.39 billion, also missing the $1.53 billion analyst mean.
