Asian ADRs Move Higher in Wednesday Trading

American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.29% higher at 180.11 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Wednesday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by real estate services provider Leju Holdings ( LEJU ), and hotel operator GreenTree Hospitality ( GHG ), which rose 3.4% each. They were followed by solar equipment manufacturer ReneSola ( SOL ), and consumer lending company Hexindai ( HX ), which were up 2.9% and 2.6%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by travel services provider CTrip.com International ( CTRP ), and fabless semiconductor company Himax Technologies (HIMX), which lost 1.4% and 1.2% respectively. They were followed by search engine Baidu (BIDU), and direct sales company JD.com (JD), which were down 0.7% and 0.5%.

In South Asia, the only gainers were telecommunications firm Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), and WNS Holdings (WNS), a provider of business process management services, which were up 2.6% and 0.6% respectively.

IT services firms Wipro (WIT), and SIFY Technologies (SIFY) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 1.6% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications provider PLDT (PHI), and IT company Infosys (INFY), which were off 1.1% and 0.1%.
