Asian ADRs Move Higher in Wednesday Trading

American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.71% higher at 185.15 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Wednesday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by express delivery company ZTO Express ( ZTO ), and commercial wheel manufacturer China Zenix Auto International ( ZX ), which rose 3.9% and 2.9% respectively. They were followed by airline operator China Eastern Airlines ( CEA ), and oil company Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical ( SHI ), which were up 2.7% and 2.2%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by social media platform YY Inc. ( YY ), and Korean steel company Ossen Innovation (OSN), which fell 8.5% and 5.6% respectively. They were followed by polysilicon manufacturer Daqo New Energy (DQ), and solar equipment company JinkoSolar (JKS), which were off 4.7% and 4.4%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by automaker Tata Motors (TTM), and IT firm Wipro (WIT), which rose 2.5% and 2.3% respectively. They were followed by mining company Vedanta (VEDL), and IT company Infosys (INFY) which increased 1.2% and 1.1%.

IT company SIFY Technologies (SIFY), and digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE) were the only decliners in South Asia, falling 2% and 0.2% respectively.
