Asian ADRs Move Higher in Monday Trading

American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.30% higher at 166.05 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Monday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by B2B platform JMU Limited ( JMU ), which soared 66%, followed by used car e-commerce platform Uxin ( UXIN ), IT company ChinaCache ( CCIH ), and electricity utility company Korea Electric Power ( KEP ), which climbed 4%, 3.3%, and 2.4% respectively.

The decliners in North Asia included telecommunications operator China Mobile ( CHL ), which fell 2%. It was followed by automaker Honda Motor (HMC) and financial holding company KB Financial Group (KB), which were off 1.9% and 1.5%.

In South Asia, telecommunications operator PLDT (PHI) rose 2.3%.

Digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 7.5%, followed by automaker Tata Motors (TTM), which lost 1.4%. Telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and HDFC Bank (HDB) were down 0.9% and 0.6% respectively.
