Asian ADRs Move Higher in Monday Trading

American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.38% higher at 159.90 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Monday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by Yintech Investment ( YIN ), an online provider of spot commodity trading services, and shopping app Pinduoduo ( PDD ), which rose 5.8% and 4.5% respectively. They were followed by beverage company China New Borun ( BORN ) and social media platform Weibo Corporation ( WB ), which were up 3.6% and 2.8%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by semiconductor foundry United Microelectronics ( UMC ), and display advertising company Airmedia (AMCN), which fell 4.4% and 4.2% respectively. Search engine Sogou (SOGO) dropped 1.3%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and HDFC Bank (HDB), which rose 1.9% and 1.2% respectively. They were followed by automaker Tata Motors (TTM) and digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE), which were up 1.1% and 0.7%.

Pharmaceutical firm Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 5%, followed by telecommunications operator PLDT (PHI) and biotech company ASLAN Pharmaceuticals (ASLN), which lost 2.3%, and 2.2%.
