Asian ADRs Move Higher in Friday Trading

American depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.58% higher at 178.47 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Friday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by LINE Corp ( LN ), and semiconductor company ChipMOS ( IMOS ), which rose 6.5% and 6.3% respectively. They were followed by electricity provider Korea Electric Power ( KEP ), and solar equipment maker ReneSola ( SOL ), which were up 6.0% and 5.7%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by online video platform iQIYI ( IQ ), and video-sharing website Bilibili (BILI), which fell 9.3% and 4.4% respectively. They were followed by Baozun (BZUN), a brand e-commerce solutions company, and Chinese search engine Sogou (SOGO), which dropped 1.7% and 1.6%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE), and IT firm SIFY Technologies (SIFY), which rose 3.8% and 1.7% respectively. They were followed by mining company Vedanta (VEDL), and HDFC Bank (HDB), which were up 1.7% and 1.3%.

Telecommunications provider PLDT (PHI) was the lone decliner in South Asia, falling 1%.
