Quarterly Changes to the NASDAQ Q-50 Index

NEW YORK, June 12, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) announced today the results of the quarterly reranking of the NASDAQ Q-50 Index(sm) (Nasdaq:NXTQ), which will become effective with the market open on Monday, June 22, 2009. The following fourteen securities will be added to the Index: Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:BRCD), Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (Nasdaq:CTRP), Discovery Communications, Inc.'s Series A stock (Nasdaq:DISCA), Dendreon Corporation (Nasdaq:DNDN), Gentex Corporation (Nasdaq:GNTX), Macrovision Solutions Corporation (Nasdaq:MVSN), NetEase.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:NTES), Penn National Gaming, Inc. (Nasdaq:PENN), Patterson-UTI Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq:PTEN), Sohu.com Inc. (Nasdaq:SOHU), Virgin Media Inc. (Nasdaq:VMED), Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates, Inc. (Nasdaq:VSEA), Whole Foods Market, Inc. (Nasdaq:WFMI) and VCA Antech, Inc. (Nasdaq:WOOF). The Index is designed to track the performance of the 50 securities that are next in line to replace the securities currently included in the NASDAQ-100 Index(r). (Nasdaq:LSTR), Level 3 Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:LVLT), National Instruments Corporation (Nasdaq:NATI), Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq:ONXX), Open Text Corporation (Nasdaq:OTEX), Sepracor Inc. (Nasdaq:SEPR), Silgan Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq:SLGN), Thoratec Corporation (Nasdaq:THOR) and United Therapeutics Corporation (Nasdaq:UTHR).
