ADVISORY, Sept. 21, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
Felipe Calderón, the President of Mexico, will visit the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square to officially ring The NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell. President Calderón will visit NASDAQ as part of his working trip to the United States, during which he will attend United Nations General Assembly Week.
Throughout the President's Administration which began on December 1, 2006, Mexico and the United States have reached unprecedented levels of cooperation. While at NASDAQ, President Calderón will meet with NASDAQ executives to continue on this trajectory, working to maintain and advance the relationship between U.S. and Mexican business communities, promote trade and investment in Mexico, and discuss the regional and global economic outlook.
The Calderón Government's sound economic management has been critical to steer Mexico through an adverse global economic environment and to enable continued economic growth and the largest investment in public infrastructure in recent history, while fueling one of the most important yet silent transformations occurring in Mexico: the rise of the middle class.
