NASDAQ Weekly Market Pulse
MEDIA ADVISORY, April 10, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- U.S. Large and Small caps rallied in similar fashion this week as the large cap NASDAQ US 300 Index (NQUSL300) gained 1% through yesterday's close, and slightly outperformed the Small Cap NASDAQ US 1500 Index (NQUSS1500), which rose 0.78%.
"The relative strength in the Utilities and Health Care sectors indicates how more cyclically-sensitive industries have performed in this cautious 'risk-on' environment," said NASDAQ Market Intelligence Desk Senior Managing Director Michael Sokoll, CFA. "Investors will be looking for more economic data points after the disappointing jobs report and, of course, will focus on corporate releases as earrings season heats up."
