Jenny Rosberg, Senior Vice President at NASDAQ OMX, said: “SEMAFO will make an exciting investment case for investors looking for opportunities within the mining segment. We have a strong track record of cross listing companies from the Toronto exchange, and can offer an investor audience that is well educated in the commodities space. The dual-listing trend is global, and it is interesting to see how companies can utilize it to complement a regional investor base with a new European audience.”
Mr. Benoit La Salle, CEO of SEMAFO, commented: “Today’s listing on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm is a logical step in our value-creation strategy and will enable us to reach a new investor-base. We have experienced significant growth in the past year and a secondary listing on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm allows us to access a knowledgeable pool of investors looking for exposure in the gold sector.”
Erik Penser Bankaktiebolag is the financial adviser and liquidity provider for SEMAFO.
