NEW YORK, Dec. 5, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) and Realty Capital Securities and American Realty Capital today announced that they have set the date for their 2012 Real Estate Investment Trust IPO Conference, entitled "The Modern REIT IPO: Dream it. Do it." This is the first conference hosted by NASDAQ that focuses on the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) industry.
The event, to be held January 9-10, 2012, will take place at the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square. Senior executives from more than 125 real estate operating and investment and advisory firms have been invited to attend the conference, which will feature speakers from a variety of disciplines, including capital markets, investment banking, research, legal and accounting providing insights on strategies for REIT initial public offerings in the current market.
A series of panels will explore a range of issues, including the current state of the real estate capital markets, performance of past REIT IPOs, structuring and preparing for an IPO, and legal and accounting hot topics. In addition to industry speakers, the Honorable Governor Edward Rendell (R – PA) will provide the luncheon keynote address.
