The end-of-July short interest represents 3.60 days average daily NASDAQ Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 3.62 days for the prior reporting period.
Short interest in 492 securities on The NASDAQ Capital MarketSM totaled 354,638,318 shares at the end of the settlement date of July 29, 2011 compared with 357,956,669 shares in 493 securities for the previous reporting period. This represents 4.71 days average daily volume, compared with the previous reporting period's figure of 3.19.
