FitStar to Ring The Nasdaq Stock Market Closing Bell




FitStar, a leading digital health and fitness company with a portfolio of personalized workout apps, will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square as part of Nasdaq’s 4th annual “Fit Week.” The week runs from January 2-9 and includes bell ceremonies featuring companies that help Americans lead healthier lifestyles.

FitStar’s first app, FitStar Personal Trainer, released in 2013 and has been recognized with an Apple Editor’s Choice Award and was an App Store Best of 2013 and Best of 2014 product. FitStar is continuing to build and expand their portfolio and last month launched its’ second app, FitStar Yoga, which quickly became the #1 free app on the iPhone and iPad in the Health & Fitness category. This latest launch gives FitStar a footprint of over 2 million downloads with users in 150 countries to date across both FitStar Yoga and FitStar Personal Trainer apps. FitStar also announced today that Mark Mastrov, a pioneer in the fitness industry and founder of 24-Hour Fitness, has joined the FitStar Board of Directors.

In honor of the occasion, Mike Maser, CEO/Co-founder, Tony Gonzalez, NFL Legend and Tara Stiles, Strala founder will ring the Closing Bell.

In addition to ringing the Opening or Closing Bell during "Fit Week", participating companies will be featured on Nasdaq's Facebook and Twitter pages where they will provide customized tips for maintaining a healthy lifestyle in 2015.
