Big Wins for Gränges and Immunovia in the European Small & Mid Cap Awards 2016

Published

Stockholm, November 18, 2016 — Nasdaq (Nasdaq: NDAQ) congratulates Gränges (short name: GRNG) and Immunovia (short name: IMMNOV) on being selected as International Star and Star of Innovation, respectively, in the European Small and Mid Cap Awards 2016. The award is a joint initiative by the European Commission, FESE and EuropeanIssuers, and aims to promote best practices and encourage more small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to access capital markets via IPOs.

“This is a tremendous achievement by Gränges and Immunovia, and further shows the quality of the companies listed at Nasdaq’s Nordic markets,” said Adam Kostyál, senior vice president and head of European Listings, Nasdaq. “These two companies are perfect examples of the successful innovation taking place in this region, and I am proud of having them listed at Nasdaq Stockholm.”

Each year, a number of European SMEs are nominated in four different categories: International Star, Rising Star, Star of Innovation and Star of 2016. An independent jury representing the financial industry, journalism and academia, then selects a short list of three companies per category. This year’s winners were announced during the annual awards ceremony in Brussels on November 17.

“SMEs are critical to the economy, and studies of Nasdaq First North in Stockholm show that both job creation and turnover growth accelerates after a public listing,” said Adam Kostyál. “Nasdaq Nordic is currently the leading exchange in Europe, both in terms of number of IPOs and capital raised, and I am honored to assist so many SMEs with the visibility and infrastructure needed to grow.”

In addition to the winning companies, Nasdaq is proud of having two other listed companies shortlisted in this year’s edition of the award. Robit was shortlisted as International Star and Detection Technology was shortlisted as Star of Innovation.
