Annual Changes to the NASDAQ OMX Global Technology Index

NEW YORK, March 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) announced today the results of the annual evaluation of the NASDAQ OMX Global Technology Index (Nasdaq:NQGL9000), which will become effective prior to market open on Monday, March 19, 2012.

The following eight securities will be added to the Index: ASM Pacific Technology Limited (522 HK), Akamai Technologies, Inc. (AKAM US), Equinix, Inc. (EQIX US), Informatica Corporation (INFA US), Shin Corporation PCL (INTUCH TB), NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NXPI US), Research In Motion Limited (RIM CN) and Seagate Technology PLC (STX US).

As a result of the evaluation, the following eight securities will be removed from the index: Amdocs Limited (DOX US), Lam Research Corporation (LRCX US), Oracle Corporation Japan (4716 JP), NEC Corporation (6701 JP), Research In Motion Limited (RIMM US), Rovi Corporation (ROVI US), Sina Corporation (SINA US) and Trend Micro Inc.(4704 JP).
