The Al Hirschfeld Foundation and The New-York Historical Society will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to highlight The Hirschfeld Century: The Art of Al Hirschfeld, the exhibition currently on view now at The New-York Historical Society through October 12, 2015; and The Hirschfeld Century: Portrait of an Artist and His Age, published by Alfred A. Knopf, which is now available online and in bookstores across the country. Both the N-YHS exhibition and the new book are the most comprehensive collections of their kind to date. 40% of the pieces in the show have never been exhibited in America before. Nearly 50% of the art in the book will be new to even the hardiest of Hirschfeld book collectors.
In honor of the occasion, Louise Kerz Hirschfeld, President, of The Al Hirschfeld Foundation And David Leopold, Creative Director, of The Al Hirschfeld Foundation will ring the Closing Bell.
