Senior Vice President, Strategic Chief Operating Officer, Investment Intelligence
Emily Spurling is Senior Vice President and Strategic Chief Operating Officer for Nasdaq’s Investment Intelligence unit. In this role, she is responsible for financial planning and accounting, business intelligence and operations and business development, including evaluation and execution of acquisitions, venture investments and strategic partnership opportunities.
Emily joined Nasdaq as a member of the Corporate Strategy team and then moved to Investment Intelligence, where she most recently served as Head of Strategy and Business Development. In this role, she helped develop the strategic direction for the division, bringing together the data, index and analytics solutions. She was also responsible for evaluating and integrating eVestment, Quandl and Solovis, three recent acquisitions for Investment Intelligence and core to the division’s strategy to serve the investment community.
Emily has over 15 years of experience in financial services and has evaluated hundreds of acquisition and investment opportunities. Before joining Nasdaq, Emily worked in various private equity investing roles as well as in investment banking at JPMorgan.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
