This mall just opened on the outskirts of Shanghai last year. There's a Starbucks, a Pizza Hut, a KFC, several Chinese fast food chains -- but no McDonald's. McDonald's and KFC, two of the biggest foreign fast food names in China, are falling out of fashion due to food safety scares and the changing tastes of China's consumers. McDonald's recently said it was considering slowing expansion in China as tougher competition from local chains squeezes appetites for Big Macs.
