Uzbek Teachers Paid in Chickens
The notion that teachers are underpaid was taken to a whole another level in Uzbekistan where pubic sector workers including teachers and doctors were paid some of their compensation in the form of chickens. This is part of the effort by the Uzbekistan government to reduce the budget deficit.
