Lake Forest Classes To Resume Without Striking Teachers
Lake Forest High School will resume classes on Monday. School officials plan to reopen Lake Forest High School, even if the teachers aren't there. Administrators and volunteers will take their places. According to the school district, the teachers union had not responded to its "last, best offer". The union says it provided a written counter-proposal. Teachers went on strike in the north suburb Wednesday morning. Pay increases are the biggest sticking point there.
