Chicago Teacher's Union Files Notice To Strike
Backed by the teacher’s union's top leadership, CTU president Karen Lewis took one of the final steps necessary to go on strike and filed the required 10-day strike notice Wednesday. This will be the CTU's first strike in 25-years. With this move teachers can walk out on September 10; disrupting the second week of school for most CPS students.
