Chicago Teachers Protest Outside School Board

Chicago Public Schools teachers picketed outside Board of Education headquarters Wednesday. The demonstration, led by the Chicago Teachers Union, was time for the board's monthly meeting. The board was scheduled to discuss the school budget and plans in the event of possible teachers strike. Union leaders say there's been little movement in contract negotiations, but district officials say the two side are making progress. Earlier this year, 90 percent of CTU members voted to authorize a strike.
