U.S. Shutdown Forces More Govt Contractors To Furlough Workers - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

(Reuters) - Engineering firm URS Corp and British defense contractor BAE Systems added a further 4,200 to the number of workers who have been temporarily laid off due to the U.S. government shutdown. URS, which builds energy and other industrial projects, has furloughed about 3,000 workers, while BAE Systems said about 1,200 employees from its intelligence & security and support business had been told not to report to work for now.
