Speaker Quinn To Reduce Costly Fines For Restaurants - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

New York City restaurants are going to be paying less for not making the grade. City council speaker Christine Quinn announced a plan that will cut fines from 15 to 50 percent for minor health violations. Other fines will be reduced to $200. She wants the rating system to serve a purpose and not to hurt businesses. The changes will reduce fines by 10 million dollars a year. They’re expected to go into effect at the end of this year.
