Solar For Homes Sees Record Growth, Not So Much For Projects Serving Businesses - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

Solar energy installations for utilities and homes in the United States rose significantly in the third quarter, but the overall 2013 won’t likely install as much as previously projected, according to a report released Tuesday. With 186 megawatts, or a 49% jump year-over-year, the residential market recorded its largest quarterly gain in its history. But the report’s authors expect to see 4.3 gigawatts of new solar panel installations in 2013, down from the 4.4 gigawatts they projected.
